Residents can enjoy large green spaces, a lake and plenty of space to take a walk. There is even a park for the kids to burn off energy. And on those hot Florida summer days, the whole family can take a dip in the community’s resort-sized pool, or the adults can relax on the sundeck while the kids enjoy cooling off at Cascata’s splash park.
New Year’s resolutions to stay fit can be accomplished without ever leaving Cascata. With an aerobic studio, basketball and tennis courts, and a fitness center, residents can stay active close to home.

Families with younger kids have plenty of options when it comes to schools in the area. Heron Heights Elementary is located about six minutes away and provides a unique learning experience through “multiage” classes, blending two age groups and grades to help inspire and teach the younger kids. There are also two private elementary schools in the area: Mary Help of Christian (10 minutes away) and Kol Tikvah (10 minutes away). There is only one middle school Westglade Middle and highschool Marjory Stoneman Douglas both about eight minutes away. But if you want to stay closer to home, there are two proposed school sites within the community of Cascata.
The average one-way commute is about half an hour and only a small number of people carpool which could add to your morning commute.
